Trans Lifeline (877-565-8860) is primarily for transgender people experiencing a crisis. This includes people who may be struggling with their gender identity and are not sure that they are transgender. While their goal is to prevent self harm, they welcome the call of any transgender person in need.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800-273-8255) can also be reached 24 hours a day and is for people of all ages and identities.
Louisiana Statewide Mental Health Crisis Hotlines
If you or someone you love is in immediate danger of harming themselves, contact the Mental Health Crisis Hotline for your parish. These hotlines will connect you to a crisis response team who can safely intervene in a mental health crisis. These hotlines are a safer alternative to calling 911.
